POPULUS. Made a brunch date with the girls last Saturday and brought them to one of the newer cafés in town, The Populus Coffee & Food Co!
It was my second time there, and it was still as good! The girls had the Populus scramble(really awesome scramble with croissants and greens)-i had that the last time, so i went with the Pulled pork grain bowl(some mixture of pulled pork, grilled mediterranean greens and quinoa), which was equally as good. I’m going to re-make these at home again. The coffee there was really good too! Guess one thing we really loved about it was the generic atmosphere of the café too-not too noisy yet not so intimate such that we felt like we were “intruding” on couple-y brunch dates.
We headed to Stock up’s christmas market at Dream Interiors after to check the things on sale. Probably stayed there for a good 3-4 hours thanks to the sudden downpour!! But we had a really good time there learning about coffee from the friendly baristas, plus bought a bunch of stuff(as usual heh!).
It’s the winter break for most of us now, and i’m just using this time to settle everything before i leave for exchange-like pack e v e r y t h i n g in my room so that it’s clear of clutter for the next half of the year. I’ll be doing some room renovations so that when i come back i’ll have a new and improved bedroom!! I’ll also be heading for my family holiday(Korea!!) during Christmas week, so that’s another thing to look forward to. With that, i’m having an advanced Christmas celebration with the family this weekend, which i’ll be making my Shepherd’s pie- Till the next!
