OFC. I made a reservation about 3 weeks back(yes, 3 weeks mind you), for Sunday brunch with the girls. Open Farm Community has got to be one of the prettiest, and what i consider a “laid-back posh”, brunch places in town.
The indoor seating of the restaurant isn’t really big, with just about 10-12 small group tables + 1 larger communal table in the center-no wonder they are always packed. There are outdoor seatings available too, but personally it’s way too hot to be seating outside in Singapore weather. First thing i noticed was how “greenhouse” looking it was like-you literally feel like you’re dining in one of those Organic greenhouses. Everything about it was pretty, made with either glass, wood, or ceramics.
The food was really good too! We decided to indulge since we rarely have time to meet up anymore, so we got half a dozen oysters that came with pea flowers and sago. All the mains were definitely up to standard-Green curry eggs benedict, truffle mushroom scramble, and the spanish rosti. For desserts we had the chocolate cake and Basil lemon tart. The lemon tart, was h e a v e n.
I think the entire experience was made so much more enjoyable cause it’s with my 2 favorite girls-our conversations just get more interesting with each meet-up(HAHA!). Plus thanks to Ping(connections muahaha), we got a free bottle of champagne!! That made the entire meal so much more worth it.
It was definitely a good catch up session. I really love how close we’ve got since day 1 of school, and we’ve become so prominent in each other’s lives. If you’re looking for a brunch place soon(i suggest you book at least 2-3 weeks in advance if you’re looking to go on a weekend), do give OFC a try, it won’t disappoint.
