Old school german apartments lining open, wide streets were a common sight, and you could easily hop onto the town metro to get anywhere around there. The weather came as a slight shock to us as we expected it to be Summer-we found the need to wear thicker layers and jeans there, a pretty sharp contrast from our crop tops and shorts in Barcelona. Nonetheless, it was still lovely weather to be out and about. Most of our days were spent attending Latin workshops at the Salsa festival held at the hotel a stone throw away from ours, literally just a few steps away. We attended a variety of Latin workshops by famous Latin stars, which we were crazy stoked for. Our nights were filled with spectacular performances and endless hours of social dancing. It was definitely one of the best experiences we had, and we learnt so much in just the few days spent there. The rest of our free time was free and easy, where we visited their shopper’s town at Postplatz, indulged in pulled pork burgers & beer at Albertplatz, and a few of us even managed to find time to experience a german brunch at a lovely café on one of the mornings. This overall trip with the Caderas Latinas group was one of the best and most fulfilling trips i’ve experience-we’d grown not only as dancers, but also as friends and as a whole family. The 2 weeks was like a dream, and i’d gladly experience it again. x Chantelle
