SUMMER. Finals are over and our first summer is finally here! Although it has only been a few days since my last paper ended, i pretty much feel as if Summer started long ago due to all the events in the past few days.

I made my way to Books Actually with my babe, Lin on the day our last paper where i met 3 lovely cats and paper-bagged 3 new reads for the summer. Books Actually is a pretty, homely place with really good books for the soul. They also sell traditional trinkets like chinese bowls and cups, bottles, b&w photos and thingamajigs alike. We headed to Forty hands after for some good truffle fries, chicken panini, dark chocolate tart & coffee to end off the day. It was probably one of the best ways to end finals and get the summer started.

Brunch the following day was spent at the new kid around the Thomson block, One Man Coffee, with my girl Lianne. The food was one of the most reasonably priced we seen-we loved their brioche french toast, though the gas house eggs(egg in a hole) was just mediocre. Nonetheless, we spent a good time catching up after not seeing each other since my birthday.

The rest of the week basically consisted of an end of semester party, movies, and a weekend of food, friends, and family. I’m anticipating a fantastic Summer.
